Shih Tzu Age: 2-4 Etc. for Approx. $75?

Hi everyone. Me and my parents are looking to adopt another shih tzu, to keep ours company :-) . We will adopt most likely when we move back to NY, (around the Albany Area) but as of right now we are in the roswell area, and we are willing to travel about 50 miles. Do any of you know any places we can get a new shih tzu for $75 (thats how much we got our shih tzu for) In the Albany aread or maybe even in the Roswell(GA) area? Some websites and phone numbers would be appreciated. Thx,
:)
Also I DO NOT appreciate those of you who say crap that isnt answering my question. if you dont have a answer dont write ANYTHING

A "new Shih Tzu"?? Do you mean a puppy? Or a dog new to your family? You won’t likely find a purebred pup for $75. Probably not even a Shih Tzu Cross pup for $75. You maybe able to find a Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu Cross at the local shelter for about that amount. You may be able to find one in a rescue. But most rescues will charge more than $75. Look on PetFinder. You may find something at the shelter or in rescue that would suit you.

You sure do get what you pay for and $75 bucks doesn’t buy much in a dog.

Most shelters/rescue charge more than that for an any dog that is NOT a senior. Just because you paid $75 for the last one doesn’t mean that will be the amount you pay for the next.

For that low of a price normally only a AC shelter will be that cheap & you will need further vet care for dog unlike adopting thru a rescue. Check often at your local AC & the Cobb/Fulton/Cherokee/Gwinnett/Hall etc. ACs as many 1000s of dog past thru the local shelters yearly in Atl. area.

Contact Shih Tzu rescue in your area.
Where I live they charge $500 up for a dog unless its old and sick

This rescue near you chrages 150-300 according to their website
I will add that not being able to provide for the needs for one dog is not a good reason to get a
    second dog.

    Adoption Guidelines: (not all inclusive)

The person submitting the application, MUST be the person who is actually adopting.

Applicant must be over 24 yrs of age.

The applicant must be willing to undergo reference checks and home visit.

(SSTR will locate a rescue volunteer in your area for the home visit)

All current pets must be spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and on heat worm preventative.

ALL current pets must reside INSIDE your home.

A fence yard is required for MOST adoptions, however this is not always a requirement. It depends on the dogs
needs. BUT, 99.99% of the time you will need a fenced yard.

If you have children, of any age, a fence yard is 100% required.

Prefer applicant to own home, due to leasing/renting complications.

A vet reference is required on all adoptions, to verify previous and current pet vet care history.

Applicant must have stable work history and stable home history.

we do not adopt to breeders.

We do not adopt dogs a gifts.

We normally do NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of ten (10)! Toy breeds dogs are NOT
suited to small and/or young children. No matter how well-meaning the child, children cannot help being too
"active" for toy breeds. And that a child ”meant well”, is little solace to a toy breed dog, who has been
accidentally stepped on, sat on, rolled on, squeezed, or dropped onto the patio. A dog may feel that it needs to
"protect" itself and respond by growling and eventually snapping/nipping/biting. We are not willing to put our
furbabies or your child at risk. These are rescue dogs, they have already been through so much! We do not
have children to TEST our dogs on, so we can’t honestly tell you IF they are good with children. Day in and day
out with children is much different than children visiting-

This is NOT a first-come, first-served process or a "Cash and Carry" rescue. All applicants are screened
and approved on the needs of our furbabies. We place them in the “Best” home, based on THEIR needs and
personality. Please note, you will be contacted IF you meet the specific needs of the furbaby, for which you have
applied, and if you are the best fit for their personality and needs.

Our "Adoption Fee" ranges from $150 - $300, and is NON-negotiable. This fee is an "attempt" to recover vet
fees and basic care cost for all our dogs. All furbabies have received the following vet care: Exam, ALL
vaccinations (age and health appropriate), Heartworm Test, Dewormed, Spayed/neutered (age appropriate) and is
currently on Heartworm/Flea Preventative. We also address any other medical issues, based on vet
recommendation; geriatric bloodwork, dental work, heartworm treatment, liver shunt surgery, hip surgery, eye
    surgery, etc…)
